Rush hour killing reported along Monroe Road in southeast Charlotte, CMPD says
Someone was killed along Monroe Road Tuesday and Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they are not looking for a suspect.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. in the 9100 block of Monroe Road, and police have not said what type of weapon was used. The location is a commercial strip south of McAlpine Creek Park.
“Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call. … Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with apparent life-threatening injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased by MEDIC on scene,” CMPD said.

“All parties involved in the incident have been accounted for, and CMPD is not seeking additional suspects at this time.”
The identity of the person who died has not been released.
