This new play space coming to the Charlotte area will feature a cafe and drop-off

Families in the Charlotte region will soon have a new indoor play venue for kids featuring party spaces, a cafe and drop-off services.

KidzNova, a family-owned 15,000-square-foot indoor playground, will begin construction this month at 12151 Huntersville-Concord Road in Huntersville, according to real estate firm and developer MPV Properties. The venue is expected to open in the spring.

KidzNova is among the first businesses announced at the mixed-use Vermillion Village development.

Owner Srikanth Devineni of Huntersville said the project fills a gap for families in the Lake Norman community. “We couldn’t find it. So we’re building it,” KidzNova states on its website.

According to the project plans, KidzNova will feature:

There venue includes more than 90 parking spaces and plans to hire more than 25 employees.

MPV and KidzNova officials did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday.

KidzNova is about 12 miles south from another children’s play venue debuted about two years ago. Playland Indoor Playground Cafe in Mooresville has party space and a cafe, and is designed for children ages 1 to 8, according to the website.
