Latest SC high football media poll: New No. 1 in 4A after week of upsets
There’s a new No. 1 in Class 4A of the latest SC High School Football Prep Media poll, after the top three teams lost last week.

Irmo, the preseason No. 1 in 4A, moved up three places to the top spot in 4A after South Pointe, Gaffney and TL Hanna all lost. The Yellow Jackets’ ranking will be tested this week by traveling to Dorman, the No. 3 team in 5A.
There is a new team in the 4A rankings with North Myrtle Beach moving up to No. 10 after its 4-0 start under Perry Woolbright.
In 5A, Dutch Fork is the unanimous No. 1. Rock Hill, which defeated South Pointe, moved up one spot and is tied with No. 4 James Island. Boiling Springs is No. 10 now after Summerville dropped out following its loss to Berkeley.
Chapman moved into 3A rankings at No. 8 following the win over Clinton. Loris dropped five spots to No. 8 after the loss to North Myrtle Beach.
In 2A, Clinton dropped four spots to No. 6. Andrew Jackson dropped out after its loss to Lancaster. Southside Christian and Saluda entered the poll and are tied to No. 10..
In Class A, Abbeville and Lake View each dropped two spots after losses, while CA Johnson is out after its loss to Keenan.
