The Hurricanes, in conjunction with the NHL, started the Hurricanes Hockey Network and will show 72 of the 84 games this season. The network launches Friday when the Canes host the Washington Capitals.
Twelve games will be broadcast or streamed by national carriers as the 2026 Stanley Cup champions gain added exposure.
The Canes open the 2026-27 season Tuesday against the Florida Panthers in a game to be televised by ESPN and streamed nationally by Disney+ and Hulu.
Canes games will continue to be shown on cable by Spectrum in North and South Carolina and parts of Georgia and Alabama — channel 313 on Spectrum in the Raleigh market will have Canes games. Spectrum also televises the pre-game and postgame shows.
“This is a vital agreement for Hurricanes Hockey Network, ensuring our games will be available on the biggest cable distributor in our region,” Mike Sundheim, the Canes’ vice president of communications, said when the multi-year arrangement with Spectrum was announced Sept. 22.
