Here are the nominees for The Observer’s football offensive player of the week. Nominees come from games played the week of Oct 2.

Wyatt Baker, Community School of Davidson: In a 36-7 win over Lake Norman Charter, Baker caught three passes for 75 yards and two scores. He also had an 88-yard pick-6.
Kaden Craft, Lake Norman: In a 45-22 win over Statesville, Craft was 23 of 34 for 307 yards and four touchdowns. He completed 68% of his passes and had a 123 QB rating. Craft is a junior committed to Tennessee.
Tyson Douglas-Brown, Corvian Community: In a 49-14 win over Pine Lake Prep, Douglas-Brown, a sophomore, completed 11 of 12 passes for 228 yards and two scores.
David Echevarria, Ambassador Christian: In a 49-15 win over Ledford, Echevarria, the state’s leading passer, completed 19 of 28 passes for 377 yards and six touchdowns. For the season, the the 6-5, 215-pound junior has thrown for 2,149 yards and 24 touchdowns. His passing yardage ranks 13th in America.
Xzavier Edmond, Mallard Creek: The junior running back ran 22 times for 208 yards and a touchdown in a 38-21 win over North Meck.
Nayven Egbert, South Mecklenburg: In a 45-34 win over West Mecklenburg, Egbert ran for 140 yards and five touchdowns. He also had three catches for 30 yards.
Caden Fritz, Christ The King: In a 44-6 win over Christ the King, Fritz had 14 carries for 178 yards and four touchdowns. He had six tackles on defense.
Jackson Heavner, Cherryville: In a 49-22 win over West Lincoln, Heavner ran 20 times for 274 yards and three touchdowns.
Cole Hough, Palisades: Hough, a Liberty commit, completed 16 of 32 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-14 win over Ardrey Kell.
Jamir “JaJa” Jackson, Monroe: Jackson had 20 carries for 263 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-18 win over Parkwood.
Omar Langlois, Union Academy: In a 49-20 win over Bonnie Cone, Langlois ran 15 times for 165 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 11 yards per carry.

Jarvis Littlejohn, Lincolnton: In a 68-0 win over Bessemer City, Littlejohn ran 16 times for 187 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged nearly 12 yards per carry.
Lucas Lopez, Cannon School: In a 31-24 win over Charlotte Country Day, Lopez completed 25 of 41 passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns. He ran 12 times for 52 yards and another score.
Luke Meador, Providence: In a 41-21 win over East Mecklenburg, Meador threw for 346 yards and five touchdowns. He completed 17 of 33 passes.
Tyler Myers, Mooresville: Myers set a school record with 13 catches in a 42-19 win over South Iredell. He had 190 yards receiving, including an 89-yard catch.
Palaris Newsome, Forestview: In a 39-20 win over Hunter Huss, Newsome ran for four touchdowns and threw for one. He ran 14 times for 186 yards and completed 7 of 13 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Khy’lieb Rodriguez, Ardrey Kell: The NC State recruit caught five passes for 217 yards, averaging nearly 44 yards per catch, in a 21-14 loss at Palisades.
AJ Settles, AL Brown: In a 38-21 win over Olympic, Settles was 7 of 13 passing for 113 yards and a touchdown. He ran 10 times for 65 yards and another score.
Amario Spence, West Iredell: Spence ran 31 times for 206 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-38 win over previously unbeaten East Lincoln.
Brian Walker, Weddington: In a 42-3 win over Union County rival Marvin Ridge, Walker ran 19 times for 181 yards and two touchdowns. He caught two passes for 30 yards and a touchdown. For the season, Walker has 115 carries for 866 yards and 14 scores, and he’s caught 10 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown.
