Two fatally shot in Catawba County domestic situation, sheriff’s office says

The fatal shooting of two people inside a home in Catawba County Wednesday night was the result of a domestic incident, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Catawba County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home at 10:26 p.m. on Dover Street in Claremont after a 911 call about a shooting.

A man and a woman were found dead from gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.
