SouthPark lands two more towers. Here’s a first look at mixed-use Charlotte site
A massive redevelopment is coming to Charlotte’s SouthPark community, replacing a one-story retail block with two 19-story towers featuring hundreds of residences, as well as offices and shops.

Houston-based Hines revealed details Tuesday for The Gallery SouthPark at 6601 and 6555 Carnegie Blvd. The nearly 4-acre project is Hines’ first ground-up development in Charlotte as the firm expands in the region. The firm is partnering with Charlotte-based The Harris Land Co.
A cost for the project was not immediately available.
“Charlotte continues to distinguish itself as one of the most compelling growth markets in the country,” Paul Zarian, managing director at Hines, said in a news release Tuesday. He cited strong population growth and demand for high-quality, mixed-use spaces as drivers for the project.
The Gallery SouthPark follows two other major local investments for Hines: the acquisition of the Design Center of the Carolinas in South End last month and the purchase of Birkdale Village in Huntersville last fall.

The development, which received Charlotte City Council rezoning approval in February, will be among the largest buildings in the SouthPark area. Plans for the site include:
Amenities will include private terraces, a shared sky terrace and lounge, fitness centers and conference facilities. JLL will handle office leasing.
A construction timeline was not released.
Hines, a global real estate investment firm with $91.7 billion in assets, operates in 30 countries and has been rapidly expanding its Charlotte-area portfolio since 2025.
