Man stabbed repeatedly when he intervenes in knife attack at party, NC sheriff says
A good Samaritan was stabbed multiple times while trying to shield someone under attack at a party, according to investigators in southeastern North Carolina.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on N.C. 41 near Bladenboro, and the suspect fled in an SUV stolen from one of the party attendees, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office said in a July 30 news release.
Details of a motive have not been released.
“Once deputies arrived, they found two male victims inside the home, both with multiple stab wounds. There were also two females inside the home who were not injured,” the sheriff’s office said.
“It was determined this started as a small gathering of friends that turned into a disturbance when (a man) attacked one of the males with a knife. The other male stepped in to help and was stabbed as well.”

The conditions of the two men have not been released.
Witnesses identified Adam Presley Inscoe, 41, of Elizabethtown, as a suspect in the stabbings, officials said.
Inscoe turned himself in a few hours later, and was charged with two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill/inflicting serious injury, and felony larceny of a motor vehicle, the sheriff’s office said. The SUV belonged to one of the women at the party, officials said.

Inscoe is being held without bond, the sheriff office said.
Bladenboro is about a 100-mile drive south from downtown Raleigh.
