Charlotte tattoo artist found buried in Rowan County ruled a homicide
The death of a Charlotte tattoo artist whose body was found partially buried near Catawba College in June was ruled a homicide by the N.C. State Medical Examiner.

An autopsy report said Carlos Enrique Leon Aristoteles, 38, was shot and stabbed multiple times, The Charlotte Observer’s news partner WSOC reported.
Aristoteles’ body was found on June 3 near the Catawba College Ecological Preserve, the Salisbury Police Department said in a previous news release. He was reported missing by his family in May, the police said.
The department said Aristoteles was not a Catawba College student or a Rowan County resident. WSOC reported the tattoo artist moved to the Charlotte area three years ago and was last seen a vape shop on Albemarle Road in east Charlotte. He had two kids.

No arrest has been made.
The sister of Aristoteles, Ana Tiznado, said she took leave from work to fly to California for three weeks to search for her brother, but was forced to return home, WSOC reported.
“Anybody who knew Carlos, they got to witness a very noble person, a strong-minded person,” Tiznado said. “Very loyal.”
