Homicide investigated in southeast Charlotte residential neighborhood, CMPD says
A Labor Day killing is being investigated on a dead-end street in southeast Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The victim was a male and his identity has not been released.
It happened around 10 p.m Monday among homes in the 3400 block of Marvin Road, which is in the Grier Heights area.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with (an) apparent gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim deceased on the scene,” CMPD said in a Sept 7 news release.

Details of a suspect and motive have not been released.
“Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-8477 (TIPS) and speak directly to a Homicide Unit detective,” CMPD said.
“The public can also leave information anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.”
