Touché Restaurant & Lounge held its grand opening Aug. 21 at 2308 Central Ave., taking over the space once home to Club House Kitchen & Cocktails.

The latter closed earlier this summer for the transition to a new American fusion and nightlife concept from Charlotte restaurateur Chet Desai, CharlotteFive previously reported.

Desai is also part of the team behind Pinhouse bar, OneSixty Cocktails & Kitchen and PARA Charlotte in South End.

“Touché was inspired by our desire to bring together everything we love about hospitality,” a member of the ownership team said in a news release. “Great food, great cocktails, music, energy and an atmosphere that makes people want to stay.”

“(We) see Touché as an opportunity to contribute to the city’s evolving hospitality scene while creating a space that reflects it’s increasingly diverse culture,” they added, pointing to Charlotte’s recent growth.

CharlotteFive reached out to the team for more information on Tuesday and was awaiting a response.

Customers can expect “elevated dining with twist,” with options that go from day to night, according to the release. The menu includes shareables such as hot honey fried ribs, crispy Brussels sprouts and bone-in wings tossed in a sauce of your choosing.

For mains, there’s the flame-grilled branzino with citrus herb salad and fingerling potatoes; the Garden Party vegetarian pasta; and the Oxtail Gold Fried Rice, an online menu shows.

Touché’s cocktail menu features both bold and signature sips. For example, the Kiwi Coco is made with white rum, coconut rum, kiwi purée and coconut purée, plus a mint spring and dried lime for garnish.

Hookah service is also available, and the restaurant said it plans to roll out a weekend brunch option soon.
