Fatal shooting reported on Montford Drive near Park Road, CMPD says
An early morning homicide is under investigation among the popular eateries on Montford Drive in south Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday, one block east of the intersection of Montford and Park Road.
The 911 caller reported an assault with a deadly weapon, officials said.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered one victim with life-threatening injuries who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Medic before they were pronounced deceased,” CMPD said.

“Detectives have identified all parties believed to be involved and are not currently looking for any additional suspects.”
The identity of the victim has not been released.
