Woman accused of doing heroin in restroom at sheriff’s office, NC deputies say
A routine appointment at the sheriff’s office became a felony when a 47-year-old woman stopped to do heroin in the ladies room, according to investigators in North Carolina.

It happened Sept. 10, and sheriff’s office employees say their first clue was a “change in her demeanor,” the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
“Davidson County Sheriff’s Office … employees reported that a female was suspected of using narcotics inside a public restroom,” the sheriff’s office said.
“Samantha Stilwell …. had come to the sheriff’s office while accompanying another individual who had an appointment at the facility regarding their sex offender registry requirements. While inside the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, employees observed Stilwell making multiple trips to the public restroom and noticed a change in her demeanor.”

Detectives confronted Stilwell in the lobby “and determined that she had used heroin while inside the public restroom,” officials said.
“A small amount of suspected heroin that had been left inside the restroom, along with drug paraphernalia,” the sheriff’s office said.
Stilwell, a Thomasville resident, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, officials said.
