The Original Glazed blueberry flavored doughnut was back in shops nationwide on Thursday, Sept. 17, kicking off another four-day stint to mark the end of summer.

The treat, a berry-forward take on Krispy Kreme’s classic glazed doughnut, was a hit with customers after its July debut and became one of the season’s “hottest-selling doughnuts,” the Charlotte-based brand said in a news release.

Its arrival coincided with National Blueberry Month, an official designation marking the peak of blueberry harvesting season, CharlotteFive previously reported.

“Fans made it clear they weren’t ready to say goodbye to our Original Glazed® Blueberry Flavored Doughnut, so we’re bringing it back for one last summer celebration,” Alison Holder, chief product and brand officer at Krispy Kreme, said in the release.
