‘Juvenile’ killed, adult injured when shots are fired at multiple homes, CMPD says
A “juvenile” was killed, and an adult was wounded when shots were fired into multiple north Charlotte homes, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The identities of the victims have not been released.
It happened around 3 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Grassy Patch Lane in the Barley Greens community, north of Brookshire Boulevard.
“Upon arrival, officers observed that multiple residences had been shot into. Officers then located two victims with gunshot wounds. One juvenile victim sustained life-threatening injuries, and an adult victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” CMPD said in a Sept 20 news release.
“MEDIC arrived on scene and transported both victims to the hospital. … At approximately 7:18 a.m., the juvenile victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.”

Investigators did not reveal whether the two victims were inside a home or outside when they were shot.
