Isaias postpones NASCAR race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday
Outer bands of rain from former Hurricane Isaias postponed the Blue Cross NC 300 NASCAR race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday.

Cup series practice and qualifying also was canceled, along with all other track activity, including the Fan Zone.
The speedway earlier canceled practice and qualifying for the 300 race, which was scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The race was rescheduled to start at 8 p.m. Sunday after the Bank of America 400.

The race lineups will be set per the NASCAR rulebook, officials said.
Isaias, which was a category 3 hurricane Friday in the Gulf south of Florida and Mississippi, weakened overnight into a post-tropical cyclone with 35 mph winds, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
At 5 a.m. Saturday, the storm was about 25 miles southwest of Montgomery, Alabama, center officials said. Isaias is expected to bring heavy rains to Charlotte and the mountains through Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
