The 23-year-old Nembhard averaged 6.6 points while playing 19.5 minutes per game for Dallas last season, having joined the Mavs as an undrafted free agent from Gonzaga.
Finney-Smith joined the Hornets this offseason in a trade with Houston where the Rockets received cash considerations while Charlotte received Finney-Smith plus three second-round draft picks. So Finney-Smith departs without ever suiting up in a regular-season game for the Hornets.
