Popular breakfast and brunch chain open doors on new Concord restaurant

First Watch is bringing its made-to-order breakfast and lunch to a new restaurant in North Concord.

The new location debuted Monday, Oct. 12, at 1389 Concord Pkwy N, near Carolina Mall. It’s the chain’s second spot in the city; the other is on Christenbury Parkway near Concord Mills.

The daytime dining concept welcomed its first customers to the new 6,300-square-foot café, which seats more than 210 people, according to a news release sent to CharlotteFive. There’s an indoor bar that serves boozy sips, too.

First Watch’s menu features chef-inspired dishes like lemon ricotta pancakes, farm-stand breakfast tacos and the elevated egg sandwich. Omelettes and “million dollar bacon” are also among the restaurant’s all-day breakfast options.

Fresh-squeezed juices and Project Sunrise coffee, sourced from women coffee farmers in South America, are also available. Midday bites include burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads and more.

First Watch uses a “follow the sun” approach to guide its seasonal menu, which rotates five times each year to offer flavors at their freshest, the company said. The North Concord restaurant will launch its first seasonal menu this winter.

The restaurant brought on approximately 30 employees and will operate on a “one-shift a day” schedule, according to the release.

The North Concord location joins several other Charlotte-area restaurants, including spots in Steele Creek, South Park, Ballantyne, Matthews, Northwest Charlotte, Providence Crossing, Huntersville, Gastonia and Fort Mill, South Carolina.

First Watch will be open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily
