Woman held captive for hours in kitchen, blasted with leaf blower, NC police say
A domestic dispute turned horrific when a man took his girlfriend captive in the kitchen, and blasted her for hours with a roaring leaf blower, according to investigators in North Carolina.

It happened Sept. 18 at a home in Morganton, about a 75-mile drive northwest from uptown Charlotte, officials say.
Terry Eugene Hawkins is accused of “terrorizing” the victim with punches, slaps and sleep deprivation tactics, according to an affidavit.
The ordeal began when 56-year-old Hawkins placed a mattress against the door of the home to prevent the woman from leaving, officials said.

He then forced the victim out of bed and into the kitchen, where he doused her with water and blasted her for hours with a leaf blower, officials said. If the woman lost consciousness, he slapped her until she woke up, the affidavit says.
The torment ended when the suspect “threw her” naked from the home, where she was discovered by police, officials said.
Hawkins is charged with felony second degree kidnapping and misdemeanor domestic violence, court documents report. The suspect and victim were “in a dating relationship” at the time, officials say.
