1 killed, 4 wounded when shots erupt outside a nightclub at 2 am, NC police say
One person was killed, and four others were wounded when shots were fired in the parking lot of a North Carolina nightclub, according to investigators.

It happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday outside Club O or “The O,” on West Market Street in Greensboro, police said in Sept. 20 news release.
The man who died has been identified as Marvin Allen Watlington, 38, of Greensboro, police said.
“There was a disturbance that occurred in front of the establishment that led to multiple shots fired,” police said.

“EMS pronounced one person dead at the scene. … Two were transported (to a hospital) by EMS, and two arrived at the hospital by private vehicle. One person was also injured by broken glass.”
Conditions of the wounded have not been released.
Investigators are using exterior surveillance footage to determine what prompted the shootings, police said.

North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) is also investigating the incident.
Greensboro is about a 90-mile drive northeast from uptown Charlotte.
