“When deputies arrived, they secured the scene and discovered a male had been shot near his ankle. As the investigation continued, deputies determined that Jayden Sturdivant, 22, shot his cousin after an argument over a mess in the kitchen.”

Court documents report the shooting involved a Taurus TS9 9mm pistol.

Sturdivant was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, officials say. He was released on $25,000 bond, and ordered not to “assault, threaten or harass” his cousin, according to court documents.
