Suspects in NC quadruple shooting die during dramatic Ohio chase, police say
Two people linked to a quadruple shooting that killed two people in North Carolina have died while trying to outrun troopers in Ohio, according to police in Gaston County.

Camryn Moore, 26, and Cory Armstrong, 29, crashed while leading Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers on a multi-county chase, officials said in a Sept 11 news release.
The two are accused of fatally shooting Victoria “Heather” Moore, 50, and Megan “Josiah” Moore, 38, Thursday at a home in the 2600 block of Forbes Road, south of Gastonia, police say.
Two other people shot at the home remain in critical but stable condition at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, police say. Their identities have not been released.
The two suspects lived at the home where the shootings occurred, investigators say.
“Detectives worked to locate Moore and Armstrong overnight and into Friday morning as investigators tracked their movements through multiple states. At approximately 8 a.m (Friday), the Ohio State Highway Patrol located the suspects’ vehicle outside of Athens, Ohio, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop,” Gaston County police said.

“The suspects led law enforcement on a multi-county pursuit that ended when their vehicle crashed after swerving to avoid spike strips deployed in the road. Following the crash, officers reported hearing two gunshots.”
A drone was used to check the vehicle, revealing both suspects were dead, officials said.
“The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the pursuit, crash, and deaths of Moore and Armstrong,” Gaston County police said.
Warrants issued for the suspects charged both with two counts of first-degree murder, and two counts of attempted first-degree murder, officials said.
“Although the search for the suspects has ended, our investigation has not. Gaston County Police will continue working to fully investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting and remain committed to protecting and serving our community,” police said.

The home on Forbes Road is about a 25-mile drive southwest of uptown Charlotte.
