It’s now received an additional accolade as a U.S. vacation spot where golfers can get the best experience.
A study by golf simulator company Foresight Sports of the top U.S. golf destinations looked at such factors as course quality, course supply, playable climate, pricing and the online destination demand to determine the top 10 spots for a golf vacation.
Also on the list is Hilton Head Island, ranking No. 8, and Kiawah Island, ranking No. 9, in South Carolina.

Myrtle Beach has an average of 5,400 golf searches a month and 243 playable golf days each year, the study said.
Hilton Head Island has an average of 6,600 golf searches a month and 263 playable golf days each year, followed by Kiawah Island with an average of 5,400 golf searches a month and 254 playable golf days each year, the study said.
