Depending on where you are, a traffic signal can make the trip even more unpleasant.
The city has more than 900 signalized intersections. There are some at odd intersections like North Tryon and W.T. Harris Boulevard. Then there are junctions like Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road and Bellhaven Boulevard where rapid growth has made traveling more difficult. And nothing can slow people’s day at times like waiting for the LYNX Blue Line to pass to make a left.
The city is constantly making efforts to improve roads. It’s also bringing back its red light camera program to reduce collisions.
