Slay, sip, repeat: Where to catch drag brunches during Charlotte Pride

From queens serving up high-energy performances to restaurants pouring mimosas alongside your chicken and waffles, there are plenty of ways to celebrate while working your way through a plate of something delicious.

These Charlotte restaurants are hosting drag brunches during Pride weekend:

Location: 222 S Church St, Charlotte, NC 28202

When: Aug. 15, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., 2-4 p.m.; Aug. 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cost: $33.85

Ink N Ivy is hosting three Pride brunches throughout the weekend, with Saturday’s afternoon event featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race All Star Nicole Paige Brooks. The restaurant’s menu includes wings, Buffalo shrimp, chicken nachos, burgers, tacos and Cajun cream pasta, while weekend drink specials include mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Midtown Tavern is celebrating Pride weekend with two drag brunches hosted by Buff Faye: “Born To Slay” on Saturday and “Love Out Loud” on Sunday. Both pair Pride-themed drag performances with brunch favorites such as chicken and waffles, French toast, breakfast burritos, avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches. The menu also includes shareable bar fare like wings, fried pickles and loaded nachos, plus a selection of drinks.
