One killed, one wounded by shots fired at 2 am in apartment community, CMPD says
Gunshots fired in the middle of the night killed one person and wounded another in the County Club Heights area of east Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

It happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, on Dunlavin Way in the Country Club Apartments.
“MEDIC pronounced one victim deceased on scene,” CMPD said. “The second victim was transported by MEDIC to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Identities of the two males have not been release.
Maps show Dunlavin Way is a residential street between Charlotte Country Club and Eastway Drive.
“Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-8477 (TIPS) and speak directly to a Homicide Unit detective,” CMPD said. “The public can also leave information anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or the Charlotte Crime Stoppers Website.”
