Charlotte teens shooting into property accidentally shot friend in head, report says
Three teenagers were charged with murder after accidentally shooting a 14-year-old boy in the head in west Charlotte on July 14, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a press release.

All four teens were shooting at a home just before 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of Lewiston Avenue when Kamarhy Sanders-Livingston got caught in the crossfire, a police affidavit filed in court said.
Tabius Joseph and Juandriqus Dempsey, both 17, and a 15-year-old were all charged on Thursday after Sanders-Livingston died from his wounds on Wednesday, a police press release said.
The affidavit said Sanders-Livingston, Joseph, Dempsey and another teen were shooting into the home of the grandparents of another person with whom they had “beef.”
The home, unoccupied at the time, was shot six times, the affidavit said. Nearby church footage showed part of what happened.

A vehicle was seen, with its headlights off, “slowly creeping” down the road. People got out of the vehicle and “muzzle flashes,” could be seen, the affidavit said. A person, only identified by initials in the affidavit, said Sanders-Livingston was hit at some point and the decision was made to leave him.
Footage showed that, after the shooting, two people ran back into the vehicle and it sped off.
Joseph was arrested on July 15 and the other two teens were arrested July 22. Joseph and Dempsey were also charged with assault with a deadly weapon, felony conspiracy, and injury to real property.
The two 17-year-olds are being held on no bond at Mecklenburg County Jail. The 15-year-old is being held at the Cabarrus County Juvenile Detention Center.
