However, Greenville police stopped short of saying they have identified the gunman.
The shootings happened around 2 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot near the intersection of East 5th and Reade streets in downtown Greenville, police said.

“Detectives are still working to determine a motive and the circumstances surrounding the shooting.”
The three men are expected to recover, police said.
Taj Cobb, 18, has been linked to the incident, but police stopped short of saying he fired any of the shots. He is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, going armed to the terror of people, and carrying a firearm on educational property, police said. He lives in Farmville, about a 15-mile drive west from Greenville.
Court documents report Cobb carried a .40 caliber handgun to the parking lot and “presented” into a crowd of people.
