I have a mean sweet tooth (my dentist will tell you the same), so I was excited to hear about Charlotte\u2019s newest dessert shop.<\/p>\n

At Crispy Cones<\/a><\/b>, you\u2019ll find fresh-baked pastry shells filled with swirls of soft serve ice cream, sauces and other toppings. The shop, the chain\u2019s first in Charlotte, officially opened May 8 near the Charlotte Premium Outlets in Steele Creek.<\/p>\n

The dessert cones are inspired by the popular chimney cakes in Prague.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to create more than just a dessert shop \u2014 a place that feels exciting, social and memorable for families, friends and the Charlotte community,\u201d franchisee Anusha Appana told me in a statement.<\/p>\n

For the karaoke lovers, Suki Fusion will also have private KTV and karaoke rooms so you and your friends can belt out your favorite tunes.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking a new hangout spot, South End Hideaway<\/a><\/b> has the best of four<\/i> worlds: a bar, arcade, lounge and a dance hall.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us, we\u2019ll make sure that our customers feel like they\u2019re at home,\u201d creative director Jabari Bradford told me. \u201cAnd that plays a part in our furniture setup \u2014 everything is living room-style, very cozy, very lax.\u201d<\/p>\n

The massive 15,000 square-foot venue opened May 14 in the former Slingshot space in the heart of South End. Expect casual, laid back vibes during the day and a \u201cdance-forward environment\u201d after dark.<\/p>\n
