Friday\u2019s hot weather prompted 20 heat-related calls to Bank of America Stadium<\/a> during the Usher-Chris Brown concert and six similar calls elsewhere in the city, Medic reported.<\/p>\n

And more sultry temps are expected during the R&B duo\u2019s second show<\/a> Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n

Heat advisories<\/a> are in effect from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday in Union County, where heat index values up to 107 are expected, and Rock Hill, where values could hit 108, NWS forecasters said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors,\u201d according to the advisory.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles,\u201d forecasters said. \u201cCar interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rock Hill<\/a> can expect a heat index of 102 on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Charlotte reached a high of 98 on Friday and a heat index<\/a> of 103, NWS meteorologist Chris Horne said Saturday. The heat index is what the outdoors feel like combining temperature and humidity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll be right in that ballpark again today,\u201d Horne said. \u201cThis afternoon will be comparable to what you had yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saturday should be sunny and hot<\/a> with a high near 96 and heat index values near 105, according to the NWS forecast Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

A high of 94 is forecast Sunday with head index values of 104, the forecast showed.<\/p>\n

Charlotte has an 80% chance of showers late Sunday and early Monday.<\/p>\n

Highs are expected to dip to 91 on Monday, 92 on Tuesday and Wednesday, 87 on Thursday and 88 on Friday.<\/p>\n
