A CBD retailer has been evicted from Concord Mills<\/a> following a court ruling that also ordered the business to pay $10,000 in unpaid rent, a fraction of the amount originally sought by the mall.<\/p>\n

Cabarrus County District Court Magistrate Brock Van Scoter granted landlord Concord Mills Limited Partnership the right to remove EZ Purchase LLC, doing business as Go Green CBD<\/a>, according to court filings. The decision was rendered Wednesday during a small claims hearing in the county Superior Court division.<\/p>\n

The Aventura, Florida-based retailer, which sells CBD and THC products, was ordered to pay $10,000 plus court costs. While the judgment specifies the rent owed, it did not rule on broader money damages.<\/p>\n

In a civil complaint filed June 23, the landlord claimed Go Green CBD owed $104,770 in rent as of June 1 and had refused to vacate the premises. Court documents show the plaintiff can\u2019t sue in small claims court for more than $10,000. The store has 10 days to appeal the decision.<\/p>\n

Court documents show the store\u2019s monthly lease rate was $7,598.<\/p>\n

Concord Mills, which has 182 stores and restaurants, is owned by Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group. The company also owns SouthPark mall<\/a> and Charlotte Premium Outlets.<\/p>\n

Neither Simon nor the mall\u2019s attorney immediately responded to requests for comment Friday. Go Green CBD officials also did not respond to inquiries.<\/p>\n

On Friday, everything in the store has been marked to half off, a store employee at the mall said by phone.<\/p>\n

The Concord location<\/a>, which opened in November 2024, was Go Green CBD<\/a>\u2019s only store outside of Florida, where it has six.<\/p>\n

At its peak, the company operated 18 mall-based kiosks and storefronts in New York, North Carolina, New Jersey and Florida. In North Carolina, Go Green CBD had a store at Northlake Mall, as well as spots in Asheville and Winston-Salem.<\/p>\n
