An ongoing dispute at a mobile home park turned potentially deadly when a woman tried using her car to run over a child, according to investigators in eastern North Carolina.<\/p>\n

The incident happened Thursday, May 14, in Ayden, and involved an 11-year-old boy, the Ayden Police Department reported in an arrest warrant.<\/p>\n

Investigators identified the suspect as 30-year-old Alexa Brooke Mozingo of Ayden, and accused her of using a Nissan Sentra as \u201ca deadly weapon with intent to kill\u201d during an assault on the boy. Police did not report the boy suffered injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe defendant unlawfully and willfully did threaten to physically injure the (boy). The threat was communicated to (the boy) by stating … \u2018I\u2019m going to run you over\u2019 and \u2018I\u2019m going to f—g kill you\u2019,\u201d an arrest warrant reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not an isolated incident. (The) defendant and her children have been a recurring target of victims\u2019 harassment and threats.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mozingo is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and communicating threats, police said. Bond was set at $100,000, court documents report.<\/p>\n
