“#Circlingback,” Hoffman, 56, recently captioned an Instagram<\/span><\/a> selfie, where he posed in a checked button-down shirt and gray slacks. He added over his photo, “Been a min.”<\/p>\n

Without elaborating further on his social media hiatus, several Instagram users quickly offered their praise over his slimmed-down physique.<\/p>\n

“What a transformation \ud83d\udd25\ud83d\ude4c\ud83d\udc4f\u2764\ufe0f<\/span>,” one follower wrote in the comments section, with another adding, “Someone is lit! \ud83d\udd25\ud83d\udd25\ud83d\udd25<\/span>.”<\/p>\n

Former Suits <\/i>costar Sarah Rafferty <\/b>chimed in, succinctly sharing “\ud83d\udd25\ud83d\ude0d<\/span>” emojis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another fan, meanwhile, asked for the “secret” to Hoffman’s weight loss<\/a> since he looked “great.”<\/p>\n

“Intense intermittent fasting and keto diet,” Hoffman replied, noting that he also cut out alcohol.<\/p>\n

Intermittent fasting is a diet pattern based on time limits, according to the Mayo Clinic<\/span><\/a>, where followers eat a typical diet for a set period of hours or days. At the end of the session, one would switch to consuming very few or no calories for hours or days. A keto diet, meanwhile, is a specific type of high-fat, low-carb meal plan.<\/p>\n

Hoffman has not further detailed his weight loss, though has long been candid about his health ups and downs.<\/p>\n

“At the age of 23, I had the biggest challenge I ever had. I got struck with major anxiety<\/a> where I would be woken up and I felt like I was jumping out of my skin 24\/7 in this nightmare,” Hoffman recalled in a March interview<\/span><\/a>. “I was diagnosed with OCD, but this was back in 1993 when nobody really knew what the hell that was, and when you see things from a different perspective like that, where you feel like your world is impending doom around the corner every day, you see the world incredibly differently than other people.”<\/p>\n

He continued at the time, “Had I not had that happen, I never would have made it with any career. It was a real quick slingshot through life lesson to really know where you stand on this planet, which is just with everyone else.”<\/p>\n

Nearly 18 years after his diagnosis, Hoffman landed the role of attorney Louis Litt on Suits. <\/i>The show ran for nine seasons, wrapping in 2019. Hoffman later reprised his role in the short-lived West Coast spinoff, Suits LA, <\/i>last year.<\/p>\n

“When I got the call, I was naturally excited and surprised, and thrilled to say yes,” Hoffman told The Hollywood Reporter <\/i><\/span><\/a>in March 2025 of his Suits LA <\/i>appearance. “How they were able to fit [Louis’ journey] that has now formed in one episode, I thought, was just really well done. I liked how they were able to do it in such a small amount of time. They were able to deal with some actual, real, existential moments, as well as ridiculous buffoonery.”<\/p>\n
