Honeywell announced its final spin-off Monday, and now has split into three<\/u><\/a> publicly traded companies.<\/p>\n

The conglomerate, which was formerly headquartered in Charlotte<\/u><\/a>, is now divided between Charlotte-based Honeywell Technologies<\/u><\/a>, Phoenix-based Honeywell Aerospace and Morris Plains, New Jersey-based Solstice Advanced Materials.<\/p>\n

Honeywell Technologies develops automation solutions for the industrial sector. This new edition of the business will include a focus on controls, intelligence and safety, according to a statement from Honeywell.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what else we know about the new structure.<\/p>\n

After the original company shared plans<\/u><\/a> to spin off its advanced materials business in October 2024, Solstice Advanced Materials was established the following October.<\/p>\n

In February 2025, Honeywell announced<\/u><\/a> its continued division by separating its automation and aerospace businesses.<\/p>\n

Honeywell Aerospace CEO Jim Currier rang the Nasdaq opening bell on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have earned the trust of more than 10,000 customers over generations. We don\u2019t take this lightly, and we will continue to build as a stand-alone aerospace and defense company,\u201d Currier said at the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Nasdaq President Nelson Griggs said that 90% of the world\u2019s aircrafts carry Honeywell Aerospace technology and 80% of satellites in orbit contain its components.<\/p>\n

Honeywell Technologies shareholders will receive one share of Honeywell Aerospace common stock for every two shares of Honeywell Technologies stock owned, according to a statement from the company. To be eligible, investors must have held shares at the close of business on June 15.<\/p>\n

Honeywell Aerospace has more than 36,000 employees. Before the spin-offs, Honeywell employed 97,000 people and 1,150 were based in Charlotte.<\/p>\n

Honeywell did not immediately reply to request for comment on the number of employees remaining in Charlotte.<\/p>\n
