{"id":2175,"date":"2026-06-25T22:06:43","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T22:06:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/charlotterelocationguide.com\/?p=2175"},"modified":"2026-06-25T22:06:43","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T22:06:43","slug":"fire-in-east-charlotte-destroys-eight-apartments-forces-people-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/charlotterelocationguide.com\/?p=2175","title":{"rendered":"Fire in East Charlotte destroys eight apartments, forces people out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Charlotte Fire Department responded to a blaze at 3:20 a.m. Thursday at Delta Crossing Apartments.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/charlotterelocationguide.com\/?p=2173\">Overturned tractor trailer causes delays on I-485 inner loop in Matthews<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The aggressive fire quickly engulfed much of an apartment building, leaving firefighters to call for assistance from another engine to assist in the fire and conduct searches throughout the apartment.<\/p>\n<p>The fire, according to officials, originally began outside the apartments at a common entryway, and left one of the few ways to exit blocked off due to the intensity.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters rescued two residents and a pet, and got the fire under control in around 51 minutes.
