A 16-year-old arrested in an uptown shooting hit one person<\/a> with gunfire as well as a nearby business on Sunday, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Jamariae Blue was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and firing into an occupied property after shooting in front of Mellow Mushroom on West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, a CMPD affidavit filed in court said. He was charged as an adult.<\/p>\n

Ink N Ivy, a restaurant on South Church Street, was hit by gunfire while people were inside around midnight Sunday, the affidavit said.<\/p>\n

The affidavit said Blue is a student at Myers Park High School.<\/p>\n

Court records said Blue was seen running away from a group of people in video surveillance, when he pulled out and fired his gun.<\/p>\n

CMPD officers were in the area near Romare Bearden Park enforcing the city\u2019s curfew, a news release said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A second teen was arrested, but information on the suspect was not available.<\/p>\n

Blue was interviewed by detectives and taken to jail. He was given a $750,000 bond.<\/p>\n
