Suspects arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sound of shots fired near uptown Charlotte\u2019s Romare Bearden Park led to the discovery of two people with gunshot wounds, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/charlotterelocationguide.com\/?p=1552\">Meat delivery, macarons and menswear: What\u2019s buzzing in Charlotte right now<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It happened around 12 a.m. Sunday, and two suspects have been arrested, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Identities of the people involved have not been released.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMultiple officers were working in the area of Romare Bearden Park and were actively enforcing the City of Charlotte\u2019s Curfew Ordinance when they heard multiple gunshots and responded to the location,\u201d CMPD said in a June 14 news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOfficers quickly located and began initial treatment for two subjects found to have sustained gunshot wounds. Officers then also quickly located and apprehended suspects related to the incident. &#8230; A firearm was recovered on scene from one of the suspects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two wounded people were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/charlotterelocationguide.com\/?p=1550\">UFC Freedom 250: Date, Time, Matches and How to Watch the Event<\/a><\/p>\n<p>CMPD Police Chief Estella D. Patterson released a statement early Sunday, noting curfew enforcement played a key role in catching the suspects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am extremely grateful for our officers who were proactively patrolling the area and were able to identify the suspects quickly.
