Russell Avenue and Hines Street. &#8230; They found a five-year-old boy who had been hit by a car. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died,\u201d High Point police said in a June 5 news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver left the scene, but investigators believe the suspect\u2019s vehicle is a gray Ford Focus or Ford Fiesta, possibly from model years 2012-2018.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>High Point Police Chief Curtis Cheeks III called the incident \u201ca heartbreaking tragedy,\u201d and urged the driver to come forward before detectives close in for an arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/charlotterelocationguide.com\/?p=1279\">Charlotte Catholic\u2019s Marguerite McPhillips headline NC girls\u2019 soccer all-state team<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe person responsible made the decision to leave the scene rather than stop and help,\u201d Cheeks said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo the driver involved, I am asking you to do the right thing.
