Mecklenburg County teams dominated the N.C. high school 2A and 4A state track championships in Greensboro Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Corvian Community\u2019s boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 teams won the 2A championships and Lake Norman Charter won the boys\u2019 4A title, sharing it with Salisbury. Both teams finished with 54 points.<\/p>\n

And while the 4A boys\u2019 race was tight, Corvian\u2019s teams won on cruise control in the 2A championships at N.C. A&T.<\/p>\n

The boys finished with 137 points, well ahead of Mountain Island Charter (82) and Elkin (36). Corvian\u2019s girls had 139 points, beating No. 2 Mountain Island (91) and No. 3 Swain County (78) by large amounts.<\/p>\n

Mountain Island Charter\u2019s Cameron Gaston was named meet MVP for the 2A boys. Gaston was second in the 100 meters and won the 300 hurdles.<\/p>\n

Corvian\u2019s Mylan Clay was named 2A girls\u2019 MVP. Clay won the triple jump, as well as the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles.<\/p>\n
