Which of these mom-and-pop restaurants, diners and neighborhood joints shine above the rest after decades of feeding us and our families? That’s what we’re looking to find out.

We’re taking nominations for our latest CharlotteFive Readers’ Choice poll, and this time we’re seeking out local restaurants that have withstood the test of time — 25 years or longer, to be exact.

As with past CharlotteFive Readers’ Choice contests, each nominee must have a location in the Charlotte area — which includes Lake Norman, Gastonia, Matthews, Mint Hill, Pineville, Fort Mill and other nearby communities.

We’re also looking for places with fewer than 20 locations that have not previously won a Readers’ Choice contest. (That unfortunately means Charlotte-based Bojangles doesn’t qualify, and neither does homegrown Showmars.)

To nominate an outstanding classic restaurant that has fed Charlotteans for generations, just fill out our nomination form below or email us at [email protected] and make sure to include why it’s your favorite. If there’s more than one local business you deem worthy of praise, just refresh the form and fill it out again.

Once we gather all the nominations, we’ll invite you to vote for the restaurants you think are the best.
