Use these beach cams to watch storms, high waves along the NC coast
A powerful Nor’easter along the North Carolina coast closed portions of N.C. 12 on Thursday, Sept. 24, due to coastal flooding along the Outer Banks.

The storm is forecasted to bring wind gusts of nearly 60 miles per hour and waves as high as 17 feet, with an 18-foot waves record off the Outer Banks, The News & Observer reported.
People along the Outer Banks should not be in the water during the storm and should take extra precautions if driving in the area to look for potential hazards and washed out roads, according to local and state officials.
There are a number of live webcams along the coast that can provide a glimpse at the storm and waves, though some may need time to buffer.
