High school football rewind: How The Super 25 fared, NC scores, upcoming schedule
Charlotte Latin got a big private vs. public win over Providence on Thursday, Ballantyne Ridge got its first win of the season and Myers Park got a big come-from-behind upset of No. 7 Mallard Creek.

Chambers (4-0) also remained unbeaten, defeating previously unbeaten Palisades, 24-20.
These were among the highlights of a busy Thursday night of action.
Some teams moved games up because of Rosh Hashana, the Jewish holiday that begins Friday.
A few highlights (scores, schedules, Super 25 below):
Myers Park 28, Mallard Creek 25: After an 0-2 start, with blowout losses to state powers Providence Day and Weddington, Myers Park is finding its footing under first-year coach Duke Howell. After beating Providence, 41-14, last week, the Mustangs got a signature win Thursday.
Myers Park rallied from a 25-16 fourth-quarter deficit to take a 3-point lead. The Mustangs stopped a Mallard Creek drive in the red zone after a Mustangs defender knocked a first-down catch out of the hands of a Mallard Creek receiver. Mallard Creek, No. 7 in the N.C. Super 25, next tried a 22-yard field goal. It missed with 1:59 to play, and Myers Park ran out the clock.
Charlotte Latin 35, Providence 21: Charlotte Latin snapped a two-game losing streak, when it had been outscored 100-55. Providence (1-3) lost its third straight game since a season-opening 24-21 win at Hickory Ridge.

Providence Day 49, Butler 7: The Chargers moved 4-star defensive back Nate Dollard to quarterback early in the game and the offense responded, running out to a big early lead. Providence Day, ranked No. 2 in the state and The Observer’s Sweet 16, bounced back after losing, 30-3, at Hough last week, a game where starting QB Cole Cater left the game with an injury in the first half.
Ballantyne Ridge 42, Garinger 6: Ballantyne Ridge (1-3) won its first game of the season and denied Garinger a second win. The Wildcats (1-3) haven’t won two games in a season in eight years.
West Charlotte 36, West Meck 0: West Charlotte won it third straight game under first-year coach DJ McFadden, shutting out its westside rival. The Lions (3-1) led 28-0 at halftime. West Charlotte running back Emory McClain ran for two touchdowns and freshman QB Devareus Hill threw three TD passes.
North Mecklenburg 28, East Meck 7: North (2-2) ended a two-game losing streak, scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to break open a tight game. East Meck dropped to 2-2.
