Southern Living, Charlotte pitmaster team up for local barbecue event
Earlier this year, Southern Living put a spotlight on five pitmasters shaping barbecue in the South. Now, they’re coming together to show off their food just outside of Charlotte.

It all started when the magazine’s contributing barbecue editor Robert Moss posed the question: Who are the pitmasters people will still be talking about 60 years from now?

On Sunday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., they’ll all set up shop at The Hunter Farm in Weddington just outside Charlotte for the Luncheon with Legends, presented by Southern Living in partnership with the Charlotte Regional Visitor’s Authority.

The event will include pitmaster tastings, oysters, appetizers, desserts and drinks.
Tickets go on sale Friday, July 10 at noon. The $175 per person, gratuity included.
