Dispute in Charlotte subdivision ends with one person dead, CMPD says
A weekend dispute in a Charlotte subdivision ended with one person killed by an acquaintance, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The identity of the person who died has not been released.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the 8100 block of Paw Club Drive, in northwest Charlotte. The neighborhood is northeast of the intersection of Interstate 85 and Interstate 485.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The Charlotte Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased on scene,” CMPD said in a May 17 news release.

“The preliminary investigation indicates that all parties involved are known and officers are not currently looking for any additional suspects at this time.”
Details of a motive have not been released.
