Posting via its official X account on Friday, July 3, The White House posted a parody of Swift and Kelce, both 36, announced that they were officially newlyweds.
Just after the pair exchanged vows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, digital billboards outside the venue read, “JusT&T Married.”
The White House’s fake version of the billboards instead read, “Trump is your president.” The post was captioned, “IT’S HAPPENED!!!”
President Donald Trump also shared a different social media post referencing the “Bad Blood” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end before their big day.
Trump inserted himself into the conversation on Thursday, July 2, by sharing an Eras Tour-themed poster that featured an image of himself holding his fist in the air.
Trump’s photo was in the center of the poster. Surrounding him were colorful images of historic figures such as Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as well as iconic moments in history such as the moon landing.
“It’s been a long time coming…” the caption read on the White House post, referencing Swift’s 2019 song “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince.”

Trump’s social media posts were likely an attempt to troll the couple as the president has been vocal about his dislike for the Grammy winner in the past.
After Swift endorsed Trump’s 2024 presidential election rival, then-Vice President Kamala Harris, the former Celebrity Apprentice host slammed the singer online.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” he wrote via Truth Social in September 2024. In May 2025, Trump threw more shade at Swift via Truth Social. “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'” he posted at the time.
While Trump has been critical of Swift, he also complimented the couple when asked about their engagement in August 2025.
“Well, I wish them a lot of luck,” Trump said after he was asked to weigh in on the news by a reporter, per footage shared by CSPAN at the time. “No, I think he’s a great player. I think he’s a great guy. And I think that she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.”
After first being linked in summer 2023, Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 by sharing a photo of the NFL star proposing to Swift on one knee. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned the post.
